With the myriad of features that we launched in PAN-OS 6.0, you may have missed a new deployment option for Palo Alto Networks VM-Series in your data center. In addition to the support of VM-Series for VMware environments, you can now deploy the VM-Series on the Citrix NetScaler SDX platform. We launched this with Citrix officially today.
Virtualized and cloud environments require the secure and efficient delivery of the right applications to the right users using any device and from any location. To do this, you need an infrastructure that supports all aspects of application delivery (security, availability, performance and visibility) and embraces the key characteristics of cloud:

#Citrix #XenServer Multiple Security Updates released

Description of Problem
A number of security vulnerabilities have been identified in Citrix XenServer. These vulnerabilities affect all currently supported versions of Citrix XenServer up to and including version 6.1.
The following vulnerabilities have been addressed:
• interrupt remap entries shared and old ones not cleared on AMD IOMMUs (CVE-2013-0153)
• oxenstored incorrect handling of certain Xenbus ring states (CVE-2013-0215)
• Linux netback DoS via malicious guest ring (CVE-2013-0216, CVE-2013-0217)
• Linux pciback DoS via not rate limited log messages (CVE-2013-0231)
What Customers Should Do
Hotfixes have been released to address these issues in all supported versions and update levels of Citrix XenServer. Citrix recommends that customers using Citrix XenServer identify and apply all the hotfixes that relate to their deployed versions.
Customers using XenServer with AMD CPUs that pass through PCI devices (e.g. using the GPU passthrough feature) should review the hotfix release notes below for more information relevant to their specific deployments.

IDG News Service — Microsoft will release a patch on Monday for older versions of its Internet Explorer browser, deviating from its normal repair schedule due to the seriousness of the problem.
The vulnerability, which is present in IE 6, 7 and 8, is a memory corruption issue. It can be exploited by an attacker via a drive-by download, a term for loading a website with attack code that delivers malware to a victim’s computer if the person merely visits the website.
Microsoft released a quick fix for the issue earlier this month, but did not have a more permanent patch ready when it released its monthly batch of patches last Tuesday. The company will occasionally release an emergency patch if the software vulnerability is considered a high risk.
“While we have still seen only a limited number of customers affected by the issue, the potential exists that more customers could be affected in the future,” wrote Dustin Childs, group manager for the company’s Trustworthy Computing Group, on a company blog on Sunday.
